Phone and Tablet Deals

Google Pixel 6 Pro

Photograph: Google

We like Google’s Pixel 6 Pro (9/10, WIRED Recommends) because it has a spectacular camera system, with a great 4X optical zoom, a sharp 120-Hz screen refresh rate with an AMOLED panel, and plenty of useful smart software features powered by Google’s Tensor processor. Oh, and a battery that generally lasts a full day. The phone has had its fair share of bugs, but many of the issues have been fixed now. This deal is also available at Target. The equally great Pixel 6 is also still on sale (out of stock but you can still order it) for $499 ($100 off).

Samsung’s S22 line of phones (9/10, WIRED Recommends) are some of the best Android phones you can buy, and this is the lowest price we’ve seen on the base model. It packs a triple-camera system (though it lacks the 10X zoom of the Galaxy S22 Ultra), a gorgeous 6.1-inch AMOLED screen, and Samsung has promised a whopping (for Android phones anyway) four years of Android upgrades and five years of security updates.

For a little bit more than the S22, the S22+ (9/10, WIRED Recommends) includes a slightly bigger 4,500-mAh battery (vs. the S22’s 3,700 mAh), supports faster charging, and has a bigger 6.6-inch screen. If you like the S22 but want a beefier phone, this one’s still relatively close in price.

OnePlus 9 Pro

Photograph: OnePlus

The OnePlus 9 Pro (8/10, WIRED Recommends) is at the lowest price we’ve seen. If you don’t want the Pro model, the standard version is also on sale for $500. Even though these phones launched last year, the hardware is excellent and the cameras are good. However, it’s important to note you’ll only get two more Android OS upgrades and three years of security updates.

The fact that Lenovo made this tablet, the best Android tablet, for under $350 is a minor miracle. The fact that you can get it for this price right now is a downright steal. The MediaTek Helio G90T chip inside is powerful enough that the P11 Plus rarely feels slow, and the 11-inch LCD screen looks sharp, thanks to the 2K resolution.

Samsung Galaxy Tab S8

Photograph: Samsung

WIRED reviews editor Julian Chokkattu likes the Galaxy Tab S8. It’s a little too expensive at MSRP, but this price makes it more stomachable. The LCD screen is sharp and great, performance is buttery smooth, and it has great speakers. It’s not too small and it’s not too big.

Unlike the aforementioned P11 Plus, the Nokia T20 tablet will get two OS upgrades and three years of security updates. But the display isn’t as nice, and performance is slightly slower. Regardless, WIRED reviews editor Julian Chokkattu says he had no trouble using it to watch shows and browse the web. It’s dipped lower, to $175, in the past, but this is still a good deal.

Laptop, Storage, and Monitor Deals

Asus Chromebook Flip

Photograph: Asus

This is our top Chromebook pick. The Core M3 processor should suffice for most people, and it’s perfect for anyone who can work entirely off the Chrome browser (though Android apps are available via the Google Play Store). This is a 2-in-1, so you get a 14-inch touchscreen, and you can put it in Stand mode for bingeing Netflix when you’re done working.

Almost a classic at this point, the Surface Laptop and its signature super-soft Alcantara keyboard make for a high-quality everyday driver for most tasks. It’s not going to be running any high-end games, or rendering 8K video in Adobe Premiere anytime soon, but in the 13.5-inch size, it’s tough to beat. It features a solid, durable, aluminum chassis, with killer battery life and a great screen. This deal features the faster Intel Core i7 chip, 16 gigs of RAM, and a 512-gigabyte SSD.

If you’re looking for something with stylish and high-end MacBook vibes that can offer top-tier gaming performance, there’s nothing better than the Razer Blade 14. This pocket rocket squeezes in one of AMD’s best mobile processors alongside a supremely powerful Nvidia RTX 3080 laptop GPU. There’s also a luxurious Quad HD 165-Hz panel, 16 GB of RAM, and a 1-TB SSD. It’s still quite expensive, but it’s not often you get power and beauty in one Windows package.

Apple MacBook Pro

Photograph: Apple

With Apple’s M2 chip now announced, the M2 Pro will be on the way over the next 12 months or so. But this laptop is hardly out of date. It’s still one of the most powerful MacBooks around, especially for those who value long battery life. With a 512-GB SSD, serious creators might opt for the larger 1-TB option, but it should suit most people fine. This is not a huge discount, but it’s a decent drop for an Apple product. The 14-inch version is also on sale for $2,249 ($251 off)

Yes, this large screen has a 1080-pixel resolution, which can appear a bit fuzzy if you look too closely. But at a reasonable viewing distance, you’ll hardly notice. The colors look great, the bezels are slim, and it supports the VESA mounting standard, so you can reclaim some desk space.

If you don’t need such a large screen, this 24-inch, 1080-resolution monitor will suffice. There’s VESA compatibility, but the stand is quite adjustable as well. (You can tilt it to portrait orientation.) Like the BenQ above, it has built-in speakers, but they don’t sound very good (most computer monitor speakers are bad).

The Samsung T7 Shield is a durable little SSD. Armed with 1 TB of storage space and encased in a tough, durable exterior, it’s a great pick for any photographers or videographers who need some extra storage space when they’re on location or traveling. The rubberized exterior gives the T7 a little extra cushioning, too, protecting its delicate interior and your precious data.

Headphone and Earbud Deals

Google Pixel Buds A-Series

Photograph: Google

The affordable price tag, instant Android pairing, and baked-in Google Assistant are just a few reasons why we like the Pixel Buds A-Series (8/10, WIRED Recommends). They’re a great option for Android users seeking an AirPods-like experience in pairing ease, sound quality, and comfort level. We weren’t quite as impressed with their battery life, but this deal price makes up for it a bit.

We love the Beats Fit Pro (9/10, WIRED Recommends). Not only do they sound and feel better than Apple’s AirPods Pro, but they have much better battery life—and they’re cheaper to boot. Our resident headphone expert said the Fit Pro “are the best earbuds for iOS by a country mile.” This price is a historic low.

Sony LinkBuds

Courtesy of Sony

The LinkBuds (8/10, WIRED Recommends) stand out for their unique design, which enables better ambient listening, and they’re also great for smaller ears. This 15 percent discount is pretty significant, considering they hit the shelves in 2022.

We like Jabra headphones and recommend the brand’s Elite 7 Active buds. But these Elite 3 earbuds are about $70 cheaper right now than those ones, and you still get a lot of the company’s best features. For the money, WIRED editor and sound expert Parker Hall says, they have decent sound and microphones, plus seven hours of battery life. They have Alexa built in, and they’re available in a pretty lilac, too.

TV and Speaker Deals

Sony A90J 4K TV

Photograph: Sony

Calling a TV “pretty” isn’t the usual technical lingo we’d go for, but damn … the Sony A90J is pretty. From the processing speed to the OLED panel, this TV really does have it all. Though this may not seem like much of a discount, this is the lowest drop we’ve seen for the A90J. We’re not sure when we’ll see prices like this again, so now’s a good time to jump if you’ve been eyeing it.

We called the LG C1 (8/10, WIRED Recommends) a game-changing TV, thanks to its top-tier contrast, 120-Hz refresh rate at 4K, and minimal input lag, all of which make it excellent both for cinema and gaming. Typically we see this set for around $900 at Amazon, but it’s now down to an all-time low.

Sony makes some of the best-looking OLED TVs on the market, and this display is a great one. At 48 inches, it’s not one of the biggest around, but it’s still good for medium-size living spaces. Its center stand makes it relatively easy to place; it supports both HDR 10 and Dolby Vision types of HDR; and it has a 120-Hz refresh rate that’s handy for gamers.

Roku Streaming Stick 4K

Photograph: Roku

We like the hands-free voice control of the more expensive Streaming Stick 4K Plus, our top streaming device. However, this one is just as capable and still supports HDR10+ and Dolby Vision. You can get it from Best Buy as well.

This deal has popped up a few times since June. The Chromecast with Google TV is the Best 4K Streaming Device for folks that use Google TV or cast with an Android phone. We like the interface a lot, especially the search function. Just keep in mind that you may need to manually clear the device’s cache from time to time. Read more about it in our in-depth review

Although we haven’t tested the 2022 version yet, we’re big fans of the Roku Ultra. You’ll get 4K streaming, Dolby Vision, and HDR10+ all in one. The Wi-Fi is also allegedly better than the already incredibly fast connection we loved before. If you’re not looking for anything too advanced like that, you can also get the Roku Streaming Stick 4K (2021) for $29 ($21 off) for a guest bedroom or kitchen TV.

Yamaha YAS-209

Photograph: Yamaha

Want a soundbar that can pull double duty as a smart speaker? This Yamaha has Alexa built in, so you can use it like you would any Echo speaker and ask the voice assistant anything. It sounds great as a soundbar too, particularly the bass, thanks to the included subwoofer.

One of the best ways to improve your home theater experience is to get a soundbar, and if you really want your home to feel like a movie theater, the Samsung HW-Q950A soundbar has you covered. It features Dolby Atmos compatibility, so it’s able to deliver truly lifelike and immersive sound to pull you right into your favorite movies.

This is another great Dolby Atmos soundbar that will knock several pairs of socks off of you. It’s on our list of the best soundbars for a reason. It produces a truly awe-inspiring amount of bass, so definitely be careful if you have thin walls and neighbors.

A lot of people expect smart-enabled televisions nowadays, but did you know you can get a smart soundbar too? The Roku Streambar Pro has all the functionality of a typical Roku, plus it enhances the sound on your TV. This is actually a pretty brilliant two-in-one situation given that TVs tend to have terrible speakers. The Pro is better for bigger rooms, but if you’re looking to spruce up the sound in your bedroom, the Roku Streambar for $89 ($41 off) is a good deal too.

Home Office Deals

Fully Jarvis Standing Desk

Photograph: Amazon

This is our favorite standing desk. The bamboo top is elegant, and the motor moves up and down smoothly without any wobbles. Fully has dozens of customization options, so you can truly make the desk feel like it’s yours. You get four height presets too, which means you can set the preferred height of the desk for more than one person.

The Fully Alani looks nice and keeps you cool, thanks to its mesh back. The seat is comfy, with good lumbar support, and it’s quite adjustable. The only reason it’s just an honorable mention in our guide is that it’s more expensive than our top pick, the Branch Ergonomic Chair. This discount makes it cheaper, and it’s a pretty darn good deal.

If you need an office chair but want to stay under $100, this is your best bet. It’s reasonably comfy, the mesh backrest won’t trap heat, and the armrests aren’t obstructive.

Herman Miller Embody

Photograph: Embody

This Herman Miller is our top luxury pick in our Best Office Chairs guide. If you can find it on eBay or Facebook Marketplace for much less, you should snag it. But a deal like this doesn’t happen too often, especially since the Embody has exploded in price since the pandemic. It will take some getting used to, but it’ll ruin other chairs for you. There’s excellent back support and nice heat transfer; nearly every part of the chair is adjustable to suit your body. Did I mention the 12-year warranty?

Click the coupon button to see the full discount at checkout. The video quality is pretty great on this Anker webcam, though it can suffer in low light. That’s why there’s a light bar attached to the underside of the privacy cover when you flip it open. It doesn’t get tremendously bright, but it’s enough to make yourself more visible. Unlike most webcams, this one’s too big to hang from a laptop screen, but it’s perfect for sitting atop a stand-alone monitor.

Google Pixel Stand

Photograph: Google

You don’t need a Pixel phone to use this wireless charger, though Pixels will get some additional benefits, like automatically triggering Do Not Disturb mode when you place the phone on the charger. (It can even mimic the sun and light up the screen up in a golden orange before your alarm starts to ring.) Phones that support wireless charging can be recharged in portrait or landscape orientation, and this charger doesn’t have distracting LEDs that could keep you up at night.

This is our favorite wireless charger for your nightstand, since the LED only briefly lights up when you place a phone on it and then disappears quickly, so as to not bother you. This charger is best paired with a Google Pixel smartphone because it enables additional features, like turning your Pixel into a sunrise alarm clock that makes the screen glow orange right before your alarm starts to ring, mimicking the sunrise. However, it’ll recharge any phone that supports wireless charging just fine. It only recharges in portrait orientation.

There are plenty of third-party MagSafe chargers on the market, including ones that are currently on sale, but you’ll get the fastest wireless charging possible with Apple’s very own. It attaches to the back of your iPhone 12 or iPhone 13 magnetically and recharges your device at 15 watts. WIRED reviews editor Julian Chokkattu says his only complaint is that the cable is a bit too short.

iOttie

Photograph: iOttie

The iON is one of our favorite wireless chargers, and it looks nice too. It includes a stand for your phone, plus a pad for something else like earbuds. But the LED on the front can be too bright if you keep it on your nightstand. You’ll get a cable and adapter too.

The Netgear Orbi Mesh Wi-Fi system is a solid choice for spreading Wi-Fi throughout your home. It has good signal range and offers good overall speed and stability. This deal was a little better during Prime Day, but it’s still a decent price.

A 4K webcam means you’ll look wonderfully sharp on your video calls, but it also means that when you zoom in to hide the rest of your room from view, you’ll still look pretty good. This camera sits on a rotating base and is able to follow your face. It automatically turns off and faces downward when it detects you’re done with a video call. It’s spendy but reliable and fun to use.

Kitchen and Home Deals

Breville Barista Express

Photograph: Breville

I don’t know about you, but I love not having to deal with too many gadgets right when I get up in the morning. The Barista Express features a hot water dispenser, a burr grinder, and a pressure gauge so you can exactify your brew even better. This is our favorite all-in-one espresso machine.

While not technically an espresso machine, since it doesn’t produce up to 15 bars of pressure during brewing, Bialetti’s Moka pots brew a potent cup of coffee comparable to espresso. Since it’s a stovetop percolator, it doesn’t need power to function, making it a good pick for camping.

Having a little frother at home is a great addition to your kitchen arsenal. Not only can it quickly whip everyday milk into a creamy froth, but it’s also great for whipping cream and mixing cocktails.

Hario Skerton Pro

Photograph: Amazon

Sometimes you just can’t beat a little elbow grease when it comes to getting your coffee grind just right. I searched high and low for the best manual grinder, and the Hario balanced speed, design, and grind almost perfectly.

Following in the footsteps of its namesake, the Instant Pot Milk Frother is actually a multifunction device that can heat, steam, froth, or whip your milk to just about any consistency you can imagine. It’s also a cute little countertop appliance and tucks in nicely beside any coffee machine.

Nothing is worse than going to make your morning coffee, only to discover that you’re out of beans. With a subscription, you can ensure you’re getting quality coffee on a regular basis. Atlas Coffee Club offers some of the best variety when it comes to single-origin beans. It’s important to note that you’re getting different beans every time, so you may not always love the flavor, but we think the good outweighs the bad. You can read more about this deal here.

PetFusion Calming Cuddler Bed

Photograph: Amazon

We haven’t asked any cats or dogs whether this PetFusion bed soothed their anxieties about the state of the world, but it nests puffy polyester plush over a solid memory foam base for comfort. Since it’s rather small, it’s aimed at pets that weigh 25 pounds or less. Reviewer Medea Giordano recommended it in our guide to stress-relieving gifts over the holidays, and she says PetFusion products hold up to the wear and tear animals put them through.

The Curls in Check dryer is an honorable mention in our Best Hair Dryers guide. It’s always affordable, so I appreciate the extra bucks off, and its huge diffuser makes it great for curly q’s. Plus it looks like the coolest hair dryer to emerge from the ’90s—which is pretty much the Bed Head vibe. I just wanted a medium-speed setting.

Enter code SLEEP300 at checkout to see the discount. This is another deal that’s continued since July 4. WIRED reviews editor Julian Chokkattu has been sleeping on this mattress for about two months. He says the Tencel cover adds a pillowy softness to the very top, yet the whole bed feels relatively firm. Edge support is pretty good, and it seems to offer good support for stomach, back, and side sleepers. These mattresses are handmade to order in the US.

Nest Hub Max

Photograph: Best Buy

In this house, we love Google Assistant! Really though, it’s the WIRED team’s favorite voice assistant, so the Nest Hub Max is your best bet if you’re looking to add a smart display to your home. It’s got a sizable 10-inch screen, which is great for video chatting or pulling up a how-to on Youtube, plus the speakers are actually good for a smart display. If you’re not in need of a camera, the Nest Hub (2nd Gen) Smart Display is on sale for $55 ($45 off).

Another solution to the household thermostat problem: the Nest Thermostat. This system adjusts based on whether you’re home or not (using your phone’s location). It also lets you check how much energy you’ve used, set schedules, and control the thermostat via the app.

Protecting your home is important, and adding the Nest Cam to your Google Home ecosystem can help you do so. Nest cameras have great picture quality and user interface on top of their sleek, attractive design. This corded version is best for indoor use, but the outdoor model that’s battery-powered is still on sale as well.

Nest Doorbell

Photograph: Google

The Nest Doorbell is our runner-up pick to the Arlo, solely because it costs more. It’s easy to set up, the battery lasts for about a month, and it identifies faces and packages pretty accurately. However, it does require the Google Home app and a subscription to Nest Aware for $6 a month.

The Nest Mini is the cheaper, smaller, and lesser version of the Nest Audio. It doesn’t sound as good, but it’s a great tiny speaker for small areas in the home where you want to use your voice to control your smart-home devices. You can also wall-mount it (as long as there’s an outlet nearby).

Clicking the on-page coupon button gets you an additional 7 percent off the sale price. We like Sengled’s smart bulbs—they’re in our honorable mentions—and this four-pack is cheaper than many competitors. These ones are soft white; there aren’t any color options that are discounted.

Vacuum and Cleaning Deals

Roborock Q5

Photograph: Roborock

Click the coupon button to see the discount at checkout. The Roborock Q5+ is, as Tina Turner would put it, simply the best. It vacuums well, empties its own bin, and lets you customize your cleaning routines in a handy app for your phone. What more could you want?

We haven’t tested this model, but we like the AI+ version of Samsung’s Jet Bot. Like that one, this is enormous at 5 inches high—tall enough to get stuck under a sofa, and the tower is a whopping 21 inches high. But these are also quiet, fast, and powerful. This deal gets you most of what we like about the AI+, save the AI features.

This is a pretty good deal for an auto-emptying robot vacuum. The smart navigation features map your home, and you can use Google or Alexa voice assistants to direct it where you want it.

The S7 is far too expensive to not buy on sale, so if you’ve been considering it, now’s your chance. It maps your home with sonic waves, automatically lifts the mop when a carpet is detected, and uses multidirectional brushes to better pick up debris. We wish it had a self-emptying bin, but we can make exceptions for this deal.

Gaming Deals

SteelSeries Arctis Prime

Photograph: SteelSeries

The Arctis Prime is our favorite gaming headset under $100, and now it’s under $50. You’ll get rich and expansive sound and a retractable mic in a body that is comfortable enough to wear all day. Plus the build quality is great. There’s no active noise cancellation, but noise-isolating ear cups do a good job of keeping sound out.

While we recommend the wireless version of this headset, the corded one is still a solid pick—and not just because we’re a little biased. The comfortable headset is compatible with every gaming platform, including phones (though you may need a dongle if your phone doesn’t have a headphone jack). This price was a little better during Prime Day.

It follows that the best PlayStation 5 controller also has the best PlayStation 5 controller charger. If you’ve got the latest Sony console, this charging station will make it easy to keep your controllers topped up. It keeps your console’s USB ports open and it doubles as a storage space, thus leaving more room on your coffee table for snacks. Win-win. This price was $5 less during Prime Day.

Camera Deals

Panasonic Lumix S5

Photograph: Panasonic

Panasonic’s S5 is a compact full-frame mirrorless with a very sharp 24-megapixel sensor. The S5 mostly holds its own against the rest of these full-frame cameras in still image quality, but what really sets it apart is the extra video features you won’t find elsewhere—support for V-Log recording, anamorphic 4K support, and uncropped 4K at 30 frames per second top the list. The result is a camera that’s perfect for hybrid video and stills shooters.

If you’re serious about using your smartphone as a filmmaking tool, you’ve probably noticed that holding a bare smartphone can be a little awkward and clumsy. Grab the right camera angles, all while keeping a secure hold of your precious phone, with this aluminum cage that mounts any device using MagSafe. Its clever design got it a spot on our Best MagSafe Accessories list. It also has attachment points for microphones, lights, and other filmmaking accessories. The discount isn’t amazing, but it is a good product at a lower-than-normal price.

We love Moment’s smartphone lenses. They help take your phone photos to another level, and Moment’s current sale makes them more accessible than ever before. First, you need a Moment phone case to be able to attach the lenses to the back of your camera. The company sells cases for Samsung, Google, and iPhones. Then get a lens. We like the 18-mm for its wide field of view, but Moment’s sale includes the 58-mm telephoto lens for $110 ($40 off) and the 14-mm fish-eye for $80 ($50 off), as well as other lenses.

Ebike and Escooter Deals

JackRabbot Ebike

Photograph: JackRabbit

The Jackrabbit Ebike (7/10, WIRED Recommends) is our favorite micro-bike. It’s superlight, weighing in at 23 pounds, is easy to assemble, and it folds down. It doesn’t have pedals either—instead, you accelerate using a thumb throttle. It gets around 10 miles of range.

The Apollo City (7/10, WIRED Recommends), packs a powerful 500-watt motor and a top speed of 27 miles per hour. Additional features include a bell, front light, taillight, a good braking system, and IP56 water and dust resistance. It’s heavy, at 57 pounds, but we consider it a good option if you have range anxiety—WIRED reviews editor Julian Chokkattu says he still had 26 percent left after a 12-mile trip from Brooklyn to Manhattan and back.
